NIS is a company based in knowledge that arose within the University of Granada, Department of Architecture and Computer Technology, with the aim of creating ICT solutions with a component of R & D + i and the research experience of the University; professional development by engineers in IT, telecommunications and electronics; as well as a marked innovative character, to ensure that “our customers could enjoy natural and simple ICT solutions”, explains the CEO of the Granada based company.
After two years of hard work, dedication and commitment, the “great team” of NIS, has developed an R + D + i which has resulted in the completion of the registration of a patent in the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office.
It is an intelligent system for improvement the process of dispensing and administration of medicines in hospitals and is now in pilot phase at the Clinical Hospital of Granada. “The system uses artificial intelligence to assist technicians to prevent errors, but is not intended to replace people.”
Awards have begun to arrive. Naranjo Intelligent Solutions has been awarded as the best Spin-Off of the University of Granada in 2014 . In addition, Naranjo Intelligent Solutions has won the “Andalucia Emprende” Award in the category of creation in the province of Granada and will represent the province in the regional phase of the second edition of the awards promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment.
